Seattle, Washington – USA

We need to start off this destination with a disclaimer. Seattle is our hometown so we may be a bit biased.

Seattle is the largest city in Washington State. It is a gem of the United States. Talk to anyone and they will undoubtedly tell you that it rains there all year and that is a myth we would have you believe because we do not like to share. The truth is that Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.

From Seattle, you are literally an hour or less from anything you would want to do. Skiing, hiking, shopping camping or boating, Seattle has it all. Sports your thing? We have Baseball, Football, and Soccer professionally. We recently just signed a deal for an NHL hockey team and even though we lost our Super Sonics Basketball is coming back soon. Seattle is the home to Microsoft, Starbucks, and Amazon. We would also claim it to be the coffee and microbrew mecca. You cannot throw a rock in any direction without hitting a gourmet coffee shop or a bar bursting with handle after the handle of delicious handcrafted beer.

Seattle is a health conscious and green city with bicycles available anywhere in the city you can unlock and rent with an app on your phone. A Visit to the Pike Place Market is on the top of any Seattle Itinerary. Be sure to catch a flying salmon and have it sent home. We would also recommend a trip to the top of the 1962 world’s fair Space needle for an amazing view. Check out the Seattle Underground tour in Pioneer Square to learn more about this resilient city that never should have been. And for a breakfast you will never forget, be sure to check out the 5 Point Cafe in the shadow of the space needle. Get out of the city just a bit and you will see the amazing beauty that we are trying to keep all for ourselves. Best time to visit would have to be late July to early September.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Seattle. The snow up there was crazy a couple weeks ago! It’s nothing like the snow we have back home but I guess it really shut down the area. I hope you all are staying warm 🙂
