It is known for beaches, dive sites and marine life. This is a cruise ship port and part of our Central American Cruise in 2016.
The Boat docked in beatiful Mahagonay Bay. We hired a driver for us and another couple we met from Louisiana for the day. Roatan is about 250 square miles with an elevation of about 270 feet. As we wound through the small towns on our way to a zipline adventure and wildlife park we noticed local children playing in the streets which had now turned to dirt. Adults carrying on various chores and living a modest life.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”50731″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” eltd_css_animation=””][vc_column_text]We spent a few hours at the park getting to meet and handle all kinds of fury and feathered freinds before heading across the island to West Bay beach. Cold beer, fresh seafood and white sand beaches are just what the doctor ordered! Try you hand and snorkeling, scuba or try to master a stand up paddle board. You could also simply choose to have a bucket of beers and relax in the shade!
